We all deserve to feel safe and in control of our lives; and to be free to decide whether and when to become a parent. But this election, Queenslanders’ legal right to access abortion care is at risk.
Crossbencher Robbie Katter has announced he will introduce a Bill to repeal or amend the 2018 law that decriminalised abortion.
Issues of abortion are generally treated as personal “conscience” votes - which means the personal view of MPs will determine whether Queenslanders are legally able to access abortion care; or whether Queensland’s abortions laws are dragged back into the dark ages.
Make sure the person asking for your vote reflects your values on reproductive rights and healthcare access.
